Maintenance Field Engineer – High-Level Safe Access & Fall Protection

Up to £40,000 DOE (current range £38,000 – £40,000 per year)

• Survey, design support, and installation of high-level safe access systems, including ladders, walkways, platforms, and gantries.
• Installation, inspection, and certification of fall protection systems, including fixed lifelines (horizontal & vertical), anchor points, guardrails and edge protection.
• Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations for work‑at‑height activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and legislation.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients and on‑site teams.
• Prepare clear documentation, including reports, drawings, and handover packs.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and health & safety teams.
• Troubleshoot on‑site issues and deliver practical engineering solutions.

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of high-level access and fall protection systems.
• Understanding of work‑at‑height regulations and safety standards.
• Comfortable working at height and in challenging site environments.
• CSCS card preferred (can be provided if required).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

• IPAF, PASMA, or other access-related certifications.
• Fall protection inspection or manufacturer-specific training.
• Confined space or offshore experience (if applicable).
