At WSP, you will join our UK Rail team as part of the Client Engineering and Advisory Services group, contributing to early‑stage railway development projects with public and private sector clients.

• Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients across rail, light rail, freight and local authorities, acting as a central coordinator on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Develop and deliver tasks and projects that support fundable proposals for new stations, freight facilities, and the introduction of new rail services.
• Bid on new work and engage with the WSP UK and global communities, building and using your network to win new work.

• Experience in rail, transport, light rail, freight or local authority transport, with knowledge of legislative and funding processes.
• Understanding of operational planning, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with attention to detail, pro‑active approach and collaborative style.
• Organisational skills, project management approach, stakeholder management and ability to lead project delivery teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualifications.
