Overview
The School of Hair, Beauty and Creative is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible full-time lecturer to join our contemporary, forward thinking, and high achieving team at our Luton Campus. Working closely with our students, stakeholders, and employers, you will strive for continuous improvement and higher standards for the benefit of the whole community. We aim to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well.
Responsibilities- Teach on our very successful courses including UAL Level 1 diploma in Art, Design and Media and UAL Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design. You will be delivering both industry skills and knowledge to our eager students.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or Procreate, as these are integral to course delivery.
- Deliver skills across drawing, painting, and design principles; understand colour theory, composition, perspective and anatomy.
- Demonstrate competence in various creative and technical processes; experience with various mediums; knowledge of art history.
- Ensure courses reflect industry practices and drive course development to remain relevant and meet contemporary industry needs.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and detailed assessment of student work at key stages during the academic year.
- Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, resilient approach with an eagerness to seek development opportunities for our courses; adapt and flex teaching style to support a diverse range of students.
- Engage in teaching responsibilities and be willing to upskill through training and development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Procreate.
- Competence in drawing, painting, design principles; understanding of colour theory, composition, perspective and anatomy.
- Experience with various mediums; knowledge of art history.
- Teaching experience and relevant qualifications are desirable; willingness to engage in self-development.
- Role is 37 hours per week, based at our Luton Campus.
- Closing date for applications:
