Our client, a reputable organisation within the education sector, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team in Northwich, Crewe, and Winsford. This full-time, permanent role involves providing focused support to learners in a 16-19 study programme.
Key Responsibilities- Providing one-to-one support to learners, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities
- Working closely with the tutor to develop and implement effective learning strategies
- Supporting learners with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their needs are met
- Assisting in the creation of an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Collaborating with local authorities to identify and engage young people eligible for work placements
- Building and maintaining relationships with local employers to secure and develop work experience opportunities
- Providing reports and updates on the success of work placements and engagement efforts to management
- Ensuring that all learners experience a high-quality learning programme
- Experience in health and social care, particularly in an educational setting
- Training experience, ideally with young adults aged 16-19
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with both adults and young people
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital tools for managing documentation and communication
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
