The Role

A secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a committed and confident English Teacher to join from March 2026 on a long‑term basis. You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering well‑structured lessons that strengthen analytical skills, technical accuracy and exam confidence.

This role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment. You will use data to track progress, implement targeted intervention and contribute to improving GCSE outcomes across mixed‑ability classes.

The Candidate

You must hold QTS and have secure subject knowledge across the English curriculum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong behaviour management, high expectations and the ability to engage and challenge learners of all abilities. Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations and a clear understanding of assessment objectives is essential.
