We are looking for a Training Manager to join the Learning & Development Apprenticeship function as part of our in‑house Training Team.
You will need to have relevant experience as a Trainer. Ideally within a health and social care setting.
Please note this is a full time, 40hr per week role, working in a remote capacity with regular travel across our services as required.
The RoleThe Training Manager for Apprenticeships is responsible for leading the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of apprenticeship programmes across Cygnet. Working closely with the Group Lead for Apprenticeships, the post holder ensures that programmes are aligned with organisational priorities, meet regulatory requirements, and support the development of a skilled, future‑ready workforce.
Communication & Collaboration- Work in partnership with the Group Lead for Apprenticeships to shape and deliver Cygnet’s apprenticeship offering.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring services understand and engage with apprenticeship pathways.
- Represent the apprenticeship function in internal meetings, workforce planning discussions, and external provider reviews.
- Provide clear, accurate information, advice, and guidance to Cygnet services and employees on apprenticeship opportunities, standards, and progression routes.
- Support managers in identifying suitable apprenticeship pathways to meet service and workforce development needs.
- Develop apprenticeship programmes that align with Cygnet’s goals, workforce priorities, and industry standards.
- Partner with services to support candidate selection and lead onboarding processes, ensuring apprentices and managers understand training obligations.
- Plan, implement, and facilitate high‑quality inductions for new apprentices.
- Monitor apprentice progress throughout the programme, identifying risks early and implementing support interventions where needed.
- Work collaboratively with external training providers to monitor programme quality, learner progress, and success rates.
- Conduct regular reviews with providers to ensure high standards of delivery and address any performance concerns.
- Ensure apprenticeship programmes meet regulatory, funding, and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records in line with organisational requirements.
- Support the effective management of the Apprenticeship Levy, ensuring funds are used appropriately and strategically.
- Produce reports on apprenticeship uptake, performance, and outcomes.
- Experience managing apprenticeship programmes or workforce development initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
- Confidence in analysing data, monitoring performance, and producing clear reports.
- Experience working with external training providers (desirable).
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding rules, and compliance requirements (desirable).
- Problem solver with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
- Supportive, approachable, and committed to developing others.
- Able to balance operational demands with long‑term planning.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Passionate about apprenticeships and workforce development.
- Willing to travel and use of a car are essential.
