The Opportunity
A secondary school in the B9 area of Birmingham is seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to start immediately on a short-term basis.
The school requires someone confident managing attendance processes, monitoring absence and working closely with pastoral teams to improve pupil attendance.
This is a four-week assignment supporting the school's attendance team during a busy period.

The Role

Monitor and track pupil attendance daily
Follow up on absences and lateness
Work with pastoral staff to support attendance improvement
Update and maintain accurate attendance records
Liaise with parents/carers regarding pupil attendance
Support safeguarding and attendance procedures
What We're Looking For

Experience working in a school attendance or pastoral role
Familiarity with school MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor or similar)
Strong organisation and communication skills
Confident dealing with parents and staff
Ability to start immediately
