Chemistry Lecturer (A Level) – Part Time

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Contract: Initial 2‑week contract, with potential to extend

Start: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced A Level Chemistry Lecturer to join a well‑established college in Birmingham on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in teaching Chemistry in a classroom environment and the confidence to deliver high‑quality lessons to A Level learners.

• Deliver engaging and well‑structured A Level Chemistry lessons.
• Support learners through clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and effective assessment.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.

• Experience teaching A Level Chemistry in a classroom setting (essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet learner needs.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) preferred but not always essential depending on Experience.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.

• Supportive college environment with opportunities for contract extension.
• Competitive hourly rate (£25–28 per hour).
