GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic specialist school in Birmingham (B12).
This independent specialist school supports students aged 11–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school delivers personalised learning based on each student’s EHCP, helping them develop essential academic and life skills for long-term success.
About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students regulate emotions and improve behaviour. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you will promote positive behaviour strategies and ensure students feel supported throughout their educational journey.
ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents and support staff
Monitor progress and provide feedback
Promote positive behaviour across the school day
RequirementsExperience with in an SEN or SEMH setting (preferred)
Patience, resilience and empathy
Understanding of safeguarding procedures
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
