Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Mentor to support students in a specialist setting in Acocks Green. This full‑time role is available immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group emotional and behavioural support
• Help pupils develop coping strategies, self‑regulation, and confidence
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies
• Support students in overcoming barriers to learning
• Build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable young people
• Contribute to behaviour plans, wellbeing interventions, and EHCP targets

• Experience supporting young people with SEMH or mental health needs
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students who may be disengaged
• A genuine passion for improving young people's wellbeing
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
