An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring Head of Creative Arts to lead and develop Art, Design Technology, Music, and Drama across an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham
. This is a genuine chance to shape curriculum, provision, and outcomes across the Creative Arts, inspiring students through high-quality practical and creative learning.

While the role spans all Creative Arts subjects, it would ideally suit a candidate with a Design Technology background and a readiness to take on broader faculty leadership.

• Lead Art, Design Technology, Music, and Drama, setting a clear vision for an ambitious, inclusive, and engaging curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop creativity, confidence, and practical skills across all Creative Arts subjects.
• Oversee curriculum design and delivery, ensuring it is relevant, forward‑looking, and aligned with national developments.
• Support, coach, and develop colleagues, raising standards and outcomes across the Creative Arts faculty.
• Work with a committed team to provide a well‑resourced and stimulating learning environment.

• Be passionate about Creative Arts education and committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
• Have leadership experience or potential, with the ability to guide and support colleagues.
• Bring ambition, clarity, and creativity to curriculum development and faculty management.
• Be ready to make a meaningful impact on student engagement, achievement, and personal development.

This is a permanent, full‑time leadership role offering significant professional development opportunities, including middle leadership training and bespoke leadership support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
