About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a thriving, inclusive specialist school in Stechford. The school caters to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD), and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled teacher who is committed to providing high‑quality education tailored to the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, personalised teaching to students with ASD, MLD, and SLD
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support each student's academic and personal development
  • Use a range of teaching strategies, including sensory, visual, and practical approaches, to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Promote a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters independence and growth
  • Assess and monitor students' progress and report on achievements and areas for development
  • Support students in their emotional, social, and behavioural development, creating a safe and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with ASD, MLD, or SLD (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning needs
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of students
