About our SENCO Role
Firstly you'll be a classroom practitioner. You'll care and consistently be intrigued by pedagogy. We want someone who can support with teaching and learning and be able to coach and inspire how we meet the needs of our SEND pupils. We'll provide that time to understand the role and make/implement the changes you feel are necessary but we want that person who has passion to be in the classroom (as first and foremost we're teachers) and that desire to drive inclusivity and support our community.
You’ll work in a very diverse academy, we have numerous languages spoken and there's work to support with speech and language alongside varying cognition and learning needs. There are opportunities to develop EHCP’s that really support our students and best help them, alongside looking and shaping our policies and procedures.
This is perfect for an experienced SENCo looking for a new challenge!
About Wattville AcademyYou'll be joining an Academy on a journey to best support our students and community, where staff are really working together, where celebrating success is important and where support and systems are in place for individuals to develop and grow.
