Overview
This is an exciting opportunity, especially for a Science graduate, to join a busy, thriving Science department. You would be working as part of a 3-strong technician team who support practical work across key stage 3-5 in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The laboratories at EHS are extremely well resourced and practical work is at the heart of our curriculum.
Responsibilities- Manage equipment and supplies and coordinate and organise practical resources and equipment to support the teachers in the Chemistry department.
- Work collaboratively and positively with two other science technicians and teaching staff across the Science department.
- Ensure a sound understanding of health and safety procedures is applied in daily practice.
- Laboratory experience is essential.
- Working within a school or college environment would be beneficial.
- Science graduate (as noted in the overview).

Full-time permanent position from the start of the summer term (14 April 2026), working 37.5 hours per week – 08:15 to 16:15, Monday to Friday (52 weeks).

- Interviews will take place at Edgbaston High School for Girls during the week commencing 23 February. Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview. There will be a practical lab-based task and an opportunity to tour the School on the day.
