Hours:

9:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday term time. Immediate start. Temporary contract through Teacher Active.

Teacher Active are proud to work with a lovely Nursery School in South Birmingham, seeking a caring and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated team.

• Support children during lunchtime routines and snack times.
• Assist with personal care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Help set up and tidy away learning and play areas.
• Provide general classroom support to staff and children.
• Promote a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment.

• At least 6 months experience working with children in the UK (Early Years preferred).
• Comfortable with personal care and understands nursery-aged children needs.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one).
• Current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one.
• Two professional references from recent childcare-related roles.
• Reliable, proactive, and friendly with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Can commit to 9:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday during term time.
