    8:00am - 4:00pm Looking for a rewarding Year 6 role where you can make a real impact during a crucial stage of pupils' education?

Long Term Futures are working alongside a friendly, community-focused primary school in Rubery, Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a confident and experienced Year 6 Teacher for the Spring Term from January 2026. This is a full-time role with a strong focus on end-of-Key-Stage preparation, with scope for extension depending on school requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well-paced lessons tailored to Year 6 pupils
  • Support pupils through SATs preparation using targeted teaching and intervention strategies
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment and tracking records
  • Establish a calm, structured classroom with clear expectations
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and KS2/phase leaders
  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to assessment meetings
  • Adapt planning to support a range of abilities, including pupils with SEN
What the School Is Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with induction completed
  • Strong KS2 experience, ideally within Year 6 or upper KS2
  • Confident behaviour management with a consistent teaching approach
  • Experience preparing pupils for SATs
  • A reflective practitioner committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching
