Ninestiles, an Academy, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as our Behaviour Modification Room Lead. Candidates must have a good level of experience working with varying levels of behaviour, have excellent communication skills and promote positive values at all times within the academy. The purpose of the role is to:
- Supervise and co-ordinate the implementation and delivery of the school’s behaviour management policy through structured reflection in the Behaviour Management Resource (BMR) unit
- Teach, practice and provide feedback on positive social skills
- Promote the importance of inclusion, not exclusion, with students
Candidates will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills as this role requires regular contact with parents and carers, colleagues, learners and the local community. Candidates will split their time between leading the Behaviour Modification Room provision and supporting effective pastoral care across the Academy.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate prior experience in a behaviour management and/or restorative role, ideally within a school setting but not essential. Other essential skills include the ability to work flexibly, prioritise workload, remain calm under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner. It is desirable if candidates have safeguarding training or knowledge about child safeguarding and protection procedures;
however, full training will be given.
