English Second Language Tutor

This is a contract role for an English Second Language Tutor, based on-site in Birmingham. The tutor will engage in 4 hour sessions, 4 days a week with activities such as teaching English to non-native speakers, including telling the time, shopping etc, developing lesson plans, providing personalized tutoring sessions, and assessing students' progress. The role involves creating a supportive and effective learning environment for students.

This will be for learners who can speak very little English and classified as pre ESOL sessions. The duration will initially be 10 weeks with the expectation of further days being requested by our client.

You will be working with our lead ESOL instructor.

This will be a February / March start

• English Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language skills
• Experience in Online Tutoring and Tutoring
• General Teaching experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
• Teaching certification is a must
• Experience working with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds
