Title - Paediatric First Aid Trainer
FT/PT - Part Time
Salary - - £27,000 (pro rata)
Travel requirements - This role is based in Birmingham and travel to London and Manchester will be required.
Role and ResponsibilitiesYou will teach and assess First Aid. You will motivate and inspire learners through the provision of high-quality teaching and learning activities. You will be expected to deliver outstanding learning, and to help raise aspirations and drive continuous improvement in learner success and satisfaction.
- To effectively help develop and undertake a teaching timetable in conjunction with your line manager.
- To support the ongoing development of the curriculum and the use of information and learning technologies.
- To follow and monitor the booking process for first aid
- To participate fully in the booking of First Aid and ensure classes are full.
- To communicate between staff, Employers, and apprentices regarding their First Aid course and bookings.
- To communicate results and send out certificates to Apprentices
- To support learners who have additional learning needs so that they achieve the aims outlined in their apprenticeship plan.
- To participate in standardisation meetings.
- To prepare and deliver learning, and, where required, mark associated assessment materials.
- To act responsibly for the pastoral care and academic progress of learners.
- To ensure that all learner progress is tracked appropriately and transparent to all involved in delivering to learners.
- To develop new and innovative methods of delivery relevant to learner needs and increase the use of flexible and open, work-based and distance learning.
- Work collaboratively with other managers and staff on planning and timetabling.
- To ensure the availability of schemes of work and planning for teaching and learning, and that they are learner-focused.
- To ensure that assessment plans are in place and that learners have information about what standards of work are expected of them.
- Support staff CPD to increase their knowledge.
