Teacher Active are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a day to day, short term and long term basis in SEMH/SEND schools based in Birmingham. We are looking for people who have experience working with challenging students who are looking for a slight career change to move into a school environment.

The school is requiring extra staff due to additional student referrals, which has meant that the school needs extra staff to work 1:1 and provide general classroom help.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development.

Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs.

Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason.

Required

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience working with teenagers.

Strong behaviour management skills.

Team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work.

Experience with in an SEMH school or setting.
