Science Teacher - PRU (Erdington)
Full-Time | Immediate Start
Academics are currently recruiting for a strong and resilient Science Teacher to work full-time in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Erdington
, starting immediately
. This is a rewarding but challenging role, ideal for a teacher who is confident in managing behaviour and committed to supporting vulnerable learners to achieve positive outcomes.
- Teaching Combined Science to Year 10 and Year 11
- Full-time position,
Monday to Friday - Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Supporting pupils working towards GCSE qualifications
- Creating a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Be a qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
- Have experience teaching KS4 Science
, particularly Combined Science - Be confident working with challenging behaviour
- Have experience in a PRU, alternative provision, SEMH, or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
- Be resilient, patient, and adaptable
- Be able to start immediately
