Position: School Admissions Officer (On-line Admissions and Data Management)

Job Overview

We’re looking for an experienced colleague to join our Admissions ICT team within the School Admissions and Fair Access Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training to school staff and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and support for service users (schools, parents, stakeholders).
  • Manage IT systems for all rounds of admissions.
  • Test IT systems throughout the year, ensuring upgraded systems are working and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve IT issues.
  • Lead on online admissions and data management for the School Admissions service within Birmingham City Council.
  • Apply admissions codes, policies, and procedures to everyday tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in school admissions and data management.
  • Strong understanding of admissions codes, policies, and procedures.
  • Good level of IT knowledge and experience with online admissions systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet statutory deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
