Forward Education Trust is an established MAT of six special schools based in the West Midlands, covering areas in Sandwell, Birmingham and Solihull. The Heights Academy opened in September 2023 in a brand‑new build and will grow to cater for 116 pupils across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4. All of our pupils have an EHCP with a diagnosis of Autism.

We are looking for an effective, creative and inspirational Key Stage 3/4 classroom practitioner to join us. The successful candidate will be highly skilled, enthusiastic and motivated to help our students develop and reach their full potential.

• Teach and support pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Develop and implement high quality teaching and support programmes.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to plan, review and improve the curriculum.
• Provide specialist support to pupils with Autism.
• Keep accurate and up to date pupil records.

• Previous teaching experience in KS3 and KS4.
• Experience working with children in SEND settings.
• Experience working with children with Autism.
• QTS status.
