Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: Immediate start available

Teacher Active are proud to be working with a lovely Nursery School in South Birmingham, who are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on, practical support and understands the importance of creating a positive start for every child.

As a Domestic Assistant within the Early Years setting, you will play a vital role in the daily running of the nursery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene standards
• Helping to set up and tidy away learning and play areas
• Providing general classroom support to staff and children
• Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK (Early Years preferred)
• Is comfortable with personal care and understands the needs of nursery‑aged children
• Holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
• Holds a current DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for a new one
• Can provide two professional references from recent childcare‑related roles
• Is reliable, proactive, and friendly with a genuine passion for supporting young learners
• Can commit to 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time
