Sen Teaching Assistant; Team Teacher

Position: Sen Teaching Assistant (Team Teach) 2:1
Location: Great Barr

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Great Barr, working closely with Applebough Education to support pupils within the school’s SEN Hub.

The Role

* Provide consistent 2:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs within the SEN Hub

* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies

* Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development

* Use Team Teach strategies to manage behaviour and promote a safe learning environment

* Contribute to a calm, structured, and nurturing setting

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school or SEN setting

* Team Teach training (essential)

* Experience providing 2:1 support, ideally within an SEN Hub or specialist provision

* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
