Learning Support Mentors - Special Educational Needs, complex needs, and social, emotional, and mental health - starting September!

Do you have experience working in prisons or with young offenders?

I am currently recruiting for an alternative provision school in East Birmingham that is looking to appoint new Learning Support Mentors for children with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides quality alternative provision for both primary and secondary-aged children. The positions are generally on a temporary to permanent basis. They seek caring, resilient individuals who can think outside the box and adapt confidently to their surroundings.

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will work alongside the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants to support pupils with daily school life. The school offers a varied and engaging curriculum, including many extracurricular activities. Staff are expected to be positive, proactive, and excellent team players.

This school caters to all aged students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your experience should equip you with the skills and attributes to develop and support young people with SEMH needs.
