SEND Teacher - St John's CE Primary School, Sparkhill, Birmingham

Sparkhill, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Full-time, starting April 2026, 1-year contract (MPR).
Are you a teacher who has a passion for working with children with SEND? Are you enthusiastic, creative, and have a drive to make a difference in the life of every child? St John’s is a mainstream school in Sparkhill that welcomes all children and provides two enhanced learning provision hubs to support those who need additional help. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Class Teacher to lead our ‘Lantern’ hub.
Whatdoes the role look like?
- You will lead a small class of pupils with multiple and complex SEND needs, delivering high-quality teaching tailored to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans.
- Working closely with our SEND team, you will create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
- You will plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to meet diverse needs.
- You will work collaboratively with support staff, families and external agencies.
- Experience of working with a range of SEND (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD).
- Strong understanding of inclusive practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Promotes the Christian ethos and values of the school.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Support from an experienced leadership team.
- Ongoing professional development and training, with additional release time when needed.
