Job Title: EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham, B29
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a compassionate and experienced EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the B29 area of Birmingham. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of early years development, phonics and experience supporting children with additional needs, including personal care.

• Provide tailored support to pupils in the EYFS setting with a range of SEND needs.
• Assist with personal care routines in a respectful and sensitive manner.
• Support the delivery of phonics sessions and early literacy development.
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to planning and review meetings.

• Level 3 Childcare-related qualification is essential.
• Previous experience working in EYFS and supporting children with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of phonics (Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc. or similar).
• Experience with personal care in a school or childcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
