We are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis at a welcoming primary school located in the Aston area of Birmingham. The role will be based within a Year 5 class supporting students.
This teaching assistant role will run for the full academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, values-led school environment that places pupils at the heart of everything it does.

As a teaching assistant, you will:
- Work within a Year 5 Class
- Deliver intervention group work to support attainment and progress
- Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher
- Support pupils with varying abilities, including those needing additional support
- Help maintain a positive, engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other teaching assistants
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (ideal)
- If no qualification, a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a school is essential
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Commitment to supporting children’s learning and development - Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
