Year 6 Teacher Role overview — Independent School context
- Lead ambitious revision and curriculum sequences in maths and English as the Year 6 Teacher.
- Run targeted booster groups and personalised interventions as the Year 6 Teacher.
- Coordinate transition events with secondary partners and parent liaison as the Year 6 Teacher. The Year 6 Teacher will plan materials before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
The Independent School provides leadership coaching, data-driven CPD and mentoring for the Year 6 Teacher. From the January 2026 induction the Year 6 Teacher will be part of a leadership cohort and offered pathways to school improvement roles following the January 2026 start. The Year 6 Teacher will also be expected to lead moderation and present outcomes in termly review meetings after January 2026.
Candidateprofile — Year 6 Teacher
We are seeking a Year 6 Teacher with QTS, proven Upper KS2 impact and strong pastoral skills. The Year 6 Teacher must be available to plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 as the Full-Time Year 6 Teacher in this Independent School.
