Associate Landscape Architect – Birmingham, UK – Arup

Project Name:
Landscape Planning and LVIA Projects including Major Infrastructure and Development Consent Orders

Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management
  • CMLI accreditation
  • Typically 10+ years professional experience in landscape architecture
  • Strong understanding of UK planning system
  • Proven experience in writing LVIAs including for DCO projects
  • Experience in energy sector and large scale linear infrastructure projects
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills
  • Experience managing fee budgets and commercial aspects of projects
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent report writing and written communication skills

Experience:

Typically 10+ years in landscape architecture, particularly within multidisciplinary teams

Job Description
  • Lead landscape planning and assessment projects
  • Write and manage Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments including for DCO applications
  • Lead business development activities across the region
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams
  • Oversee project delivery, budgets and commercial performance
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and support professional development of junior team members
  • Ensure strong design integration from policy through strategy to delivery
