12 months | Umbrella A globally recognised engineering, design, and project management consultancy is seeking an Architect / Architectural Technologist to join its Birmingham Studio on a contract basis. The organisation delivers complex, high-profile projects across the built environment, infrastructure, transportation, and public sectors, working at the forefront of design excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities Deliver architectural design from concept through detailed design, construction, and completion. Work within multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants. Take responsibility for defined work packages, ensuring quality, compliance, budget, and programme adherence. Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, standards, and sector-specific requirements (e.g. Network Rail). Prepare high-quality design documentation, reports, and client presentations. Requirements RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation (essential).

Experience on complex UK projects; rail/transport, commercial, or public sector experience preferred. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NBS specifications, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bentley/Open Buildings Designer , and Adobe Suite (Enscape/V-Ray desirable).
