Band 7 Dental Therapist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dental Therapist to join the Community Special Care Dentistry Team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

This is a consultant‑led specialist service providing high‑quality community‑based dentistry to adults with special needs across multiple sites in Birmingham and the Black Country.

The role is part‑time – 3 days (22.5 hours) per week.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high quality dental treatment as prescribed by a registered dentist for patients with a wide range of high treatment needs who are unable to access care in the General Dental Service.
• Carrying out the full range of clinical procedures permitted within the Dental Therapists Scope of Practice under the prescription of a registered dentist who has examined the patient and prescribed in writing the course of treatment as defined by the General Dental Council.
