Band 7 Dental Therapist

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dental Therapist to join the Community Special Care Dentistry Team in Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a consultant-led specialist service that provides high-quality community-based dentistry to adults with special needs across multiple sites in Birmingham and the Black Country. We are looking for an experienced dental therapist to provide care for adults with special care needs within our community dental service.

This role is part time – 3 days (22.5 hours) per week
.

• Provide high-quality dental treatment as prescribed by a registered dentist for patients with a wide range of high treatment needs who have special needs and are unable to access care in the General Dental Service.
• Carry out the full range of clinical procedures permitted within the Dental Therapists Scope of Practice, under the prescription of a registered dentist who has examined the patient and written the course of treatment as defined by the General Dental Council.
