Aviation Team Manager – Tour Operator
Seeking an experienced, hands‑on Aviation Team Manager! We’re looking for a hands‑on Aviation Team Manager to join a busy tour operator. You’ll lead aviation projects, manage fares, build relationships, deal with escalated GDS ticketing issues, support reservations and e‑sales teams, and keep our aviation business running smoothly for our travel customers and clients worldwide.
What you’ll do as an Aviation Team Manager- Lead aviation projects and oversee the daily ticket department
- Ensure reservations teams are updated with fares, special deals, and routing changes
- Manage relationships with GDS providers and e‑sales customers
- Load specialist fares into GDS systems (Amadeus / GAL) including NDC, I.T fares, cruise fares, corporate fares, and one‑ways
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing across airlines
- Manage ADM & ACM processes from start to finish
- Advise reservations and after‑sales teams on service disruptions and ensure contingency plans are followed
- Support airline training and co‑ordinate team development
- Cover the out‑of‑hours emergency line on a rota
- Strong ticketing experience
- Proven travel operations or reservations experience, ideally in a tour operator environment
- Hands‑on experience with fares, airlines, and GDS systems (Amadeus / GAL)
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail‑driven approach
- Solid worldwide airline and fares knowledge
- Experience managing escalated queries with professionalism
- Competitive salary up to £40,000 DOE

- This role includes a 2 week ‘On call’ rota between 6pm – 9am for emergencies which includes £100 per week benefit plus £20 per call (if you get any)
- Shift pattern : 9am – 6pm Mon – Fri with 1 or 2 Saturdays per month
