My client is an award-winning digital marketing agency experiencing steady, sustainable growth across SEO, PR, and content. They’re now looking to bring in a Senior Content Strategist to take full ownership of content strategy, quality, and delivery across a portfolio of client accounts.

This is a genuinely senior, hands-on role with a modern, AI-first approach to content production. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, set priorities, and run content end-to-end without layers of sign-off. The focus is on outcomes rather than volume, using AI for first-pass production and human judgement to close the final quality gap.

This role would suit an experienced content professional who is confident owning strategy, refining AI-generated outputs, and ensuring content supports SEO, PR, and commercial objectives. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously, making calls on format, direction, and priorities as tools and requirements evolve.

• Own content strategy and delivery across multiple client accounts, ensuring alignment with SEO, PR, and commercial goals
• Translate client objectives into clear, prioritised content plans and roadmaps
• Decide what content should exist, why it exists, and which formats will be most effective
• Design and run AI-led content workflows focused on speed, consistency, and scalability without compromising quality
• Review, edit, and refine AI-generated content for clarity, structure, tone, accuracy, and brand alignment
• Personally write or heavily edit high-impact, sensitive, or strategically important content
• Own SEO execution for written content, ensuring alignment with search intent and agreed standards
• Repurpose and distribute content effectively so ideas are fully utilised across channels
• Monitor performance and feed insights back into future content decisions
• Work closely with SEO and PR teams to ensure content consistently supports wider strategy

• Proven experience owning content strategy and delivery across multiple client accounts (agency or similar environment)
• Strong editorial judgement with the ability to improve clarity, structure, tone, and accuracy
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal day-to-day oversight
• Strong understanding of SEO principles as they apply to content, including search intent and on-page optimisation
• Confident using AI tools for research, outlining, drafting, repurposing, and optimisation
• Comfortable editing AI-generated content directly and improving workflows when outputs fall short
• Experience translating commercial, SEO, or brand objectives into effective content
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines

• Experience working with multi-format content (video, visual, audio)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted video, image, or audio tools
• Experience designing repeatable content systems or workflows
• Background producing content for technical, regulated, or complex industries

• Genuine autonomy and ownership of content strategy
