Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be joining the commercial function of a large, well-established organisation delivering a range of programme and project-based works across the Birmingham area. The team oversees financial governance for multiple schemes and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supply-chain partners. The environment is structured, professional and focused on accuracy, value and efficient contract management.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the full financial control of provider and managed works contracts. This will include value engineering, estimating, price negotiations, agreeing the value of additional works, managing valuations, completing final accounts and producing the full suite of contractual documentation. You will analyse financial data for live schemes, support subcontractor account management and ensure all commercial activity is compliant with relevant processes and contract structures.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a degree or equivalent qualification, along with typically 5+ years' experience in a commercial contract or cost-management role. You must have experience analysing scheme financial data, administering NEC contracts and managing subcontractor accounts. Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders are essential.
