Our clients seeking a driven and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. Healthcare project experience is preferred for this role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of delivering cost consultancy services on healthcare schemes, ideally within both public and private sector environments. Key Responsibilities- Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets from feasibility through to completion.
- Monitor, forecast and report on project costs, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets.
- Provide strategic cost advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
- Undertake risk assessments and ensure value for money at every stage.
- Prepare tender documentation, contracts and consultant/contractor agreements.
- Review and manage contractor variations and resolve contractual matters.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify risks and support the wider project team.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Follow established systems, processes and best practice ways of working.
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Proven experience delivering healthcare projects (essential).
- Experience working with both private and public sector clients.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Professionally qualified (e.g. MRICS or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
- Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
- Right to work in the UK.
