Our clients seeking a driven and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. Healthcare project experience is preferred for this role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of delivering cost consultancy services on healthcare schemes, ideally within both public and private sector environments. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets from feasibility through to completion.
  • Monitor, forecast and report on project costs, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets.
  • Provide strategic cost advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Undertake risk assessments and ensure value for money at every stage.
  • Prepare tender documentation, contracts and consultant/contractor agreements.
  • Review and manage contractor variations and resolve contractual matters.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify risks and support the wider project team.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Follow established systems, processes and best practice ways of working.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience delivering healthcare projects (essential).
  • Experience working with both private and public sector clients.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Professionally qualified (e.g. MRICS or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical capability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant cost management software.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
  • Right to work in the UK.
