Tier 1 Main Contractor Salary & Package : £55,000 - £66,000 package Quantity Surveyor Opportunity An established Tier 1 main contractor with a strong national presence across healthcare, education, defence and commercial sectors is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Regional Buildings team in the Midlands.

This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth within the region and involvement in a major live healthcare redevelopment scheme.

The role offers the chance to join a high-performing commercial team delivering technically complex works within a live operational environment, contributing to a project that has significant community impact.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for:
Commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account Measurement, valuation and agreement of works in line with contract conditions Preparation of cost value reconciliation (CVR) reports and cost forecasts Producing and reviewing Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates First principle estimating and build-ups (net and gross) Subcontract procurement, tender analysis and package adjudication Monitoring programme impacts including delay and disruption considerations Maintaining accurate commercial records and utilising internal ERP/digital systems Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent industry experience) CSCS card (Academically or Professionally Qualified) Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC knowledge advantageous) Experience working within a main contractor environment Proven ability to manage subcontract packages independently Strong understanding of cost reporting, forecasting and commercial governance Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical information Confident stakeholder and client-facing communication skills Other Desirable skills include:
Experience working on healthcare or live operational environments Professional membership (MRICS/MCIOB or working towards chartership) What is on Offer?
