Job Description & How to Apply Below

Want to be part of a nationally recognised company with one of the best working environments in the sector, who are looking to grow their team in the Midlands with a strong focus on education?

Here at TSA Surveying, I am representing an established client who was my closest client last year, with three successful placements made, including the appointment of their Lead Director who has since started. Due to continued growth, he is now expanding his team further with a requirement for a Senior Building Surveyor.

The business is actively looking to expand their building surveying presence across the Midlands. They are looking to build on their team of 110 individuals, with 30 currently based in Nottingham and a new director in Birmingham, comprising a mixture of building surveyors, project managers and cost managers. They are actively assembling a dedicated team of surveyors to deliver their existing and growing workload.

The company has been involved in the successful expansion of multi‑academy trusts and large‑scale new build regeneration projects.

The client is searching for a Senior Building Surveyor, ideally with a background in education or project‑led work, who is keen to lead and support the existing building surveying team. A key responsibility of the role will be supporting school estates by providing a clear understanding of their current asset needs, assisting with funding applications, and managing projects through to successful completion.

Alongside their strong education pipeline, the client is also actively looking to expand further into the industrial and commercial sectors. Historically, the company has delivered projects ranging from £30k up to £32m, with a sweet spot between £1.3m and £3.4m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting school estates by providing a clear understanding of their current asset needs.
  • Assisting with funding applications.
  • Managing projects through to successful completion.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in the building surveying industry, preferably within the education or healthcare sectors.
Benefits
  • Salary range of £54,000 to £58,000.
  • Clear pathway to associate director.
  • 10% pension.
  • Annual bonus which has been achieved every year since the company established.
  • 25 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays.
  • Private healthcare and life insurance.
  • Company annual parking pass.
  • Further professional fees covered.

If this role feels like the perfect next step in your career and you want to play a key part in the company’s continued growth, please apply immediately as shortlisting is about to begin.
