Overview

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our UK Infrastructure Business Unit to take full commercial responsibility and ownership for the project, working closely with the Contracts Manager/Project Manager and the construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the commercial strategy, amending to suit the project as it develops.
• Liaise with, commercially influence and challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.
• Take ownership for, administer and represent the company in commercial & contractual issues, including but not limited to:
  • Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors & finalising orders, financially & commercially managing to Final Account completion.
  • Preparing & agreeing valuations, including generating certificates & invoices/payments.
  • Updating projected Final Accounts on a regular basis and preparing, submitting & agreeing Final Account in a timely manner.
• Take responsibility for control of traditional contracts & contracts over €/£15m.
• Manage the recording and submission of claims in respect of delay and loss/expense, formulate detailed arguments and make representation to the relevant parties.
