Team Leader - Children's Residential Home
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join a stable and supportive children’s residential home caring for young people with EBD and complex needs. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be trusted, supported, and given genuine opportunities to progress your career within a growing organisation.
You’ll be part of a small home with consistent staffing, strong routines, and a positive team culture focused on delivering high‑quality, trauma‑informed care.

You will support the day‑to‑day running of the home, lead shifts, and provide guidance and support to the staff team while maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding. You will act as a positive role‑model, helping to create consistency, structure and positive outcomes for young people.
Key responsibilities include:- Leading shifts and coordinating staff and routines
- Supporting and mentoring Residential Care Workers
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and daily records are completed accurately
- Promoting safeguarding, positive behaviour support and therapeutic practice
- Supporting young people with daily routines, education and activities
- Working closely with the management team to maintain Ofsted standards
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll remain actively involved in care delivery while developing your leadership skills.
What We’re Looking For Essential- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience working with children with EBD and/or complex needs
- Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff teams
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including sleep‑ins
- Working knowledge of Ofsted regulations
- Experience in a Senior / Team Leader role
- Full UK driving licence
- Ambition to progress into Deputy Manager or Leadership roles
