Early Years Practitioner

Monarch Education is proud to partner with a welcoming Nursery School in Kings Heath, dedicated to providing high-quality Early Years education. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join their team on a term-time basis.

Position: Early Years Practitioner

Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am until 4:00pm. Term time only

Duration: ASAP until July 2026

About the Role

Are you committed to supporting young children’s early development in a nurturing, stimulating environment? We are looking for enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners who are dedicated to fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in the youngest learners. Your role will be vital in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive space where children can thrive during their foundational years.

Your knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) will enable you to:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities
• Support children’s physical, emotional, and social development
• Observe and assess individual progress
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
• Create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes learning through play

• Supporting children’s learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework
• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtime, play, and personal care
• Providing individualised support to meet children’s diverse needs
• Observing children and maintaining detailed developmental records
• Supporting the planning and implementation of stimulating activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and social interactions
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for all children

• A valid, Early Years approved qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator, CACHE, or equivalent)
• Proven experience working in a UK Nursery setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development best practices
• Enthusiastic, caring, and proactive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills with both children and adults
