Mac Gregor Black are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business on the search for a Commercial Strategy Manager
. This is a high-impact role sitting at the centre of the commercial function, responsible for shaping revenue strategy and enabling data‑led decision making across the organisation.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Category teams, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, optimising pricing and promotional strategy, and ensuring the business delivers sustainable and profitable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of commercial strategy across key product categories and customer channels
- Analyse commercial performance across pricing, promotions, product mix and trade investment to identify opportunities for revenue and margin growth
- Build and manage pricing architecture and pack‑price strategies to optimise portfolio profitability
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness and recommend strategies to improve ROI and commercial performance
- Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support customer strategy and joint business planning
- Deliver clear, actionable insights through robust commercial analysis and modelling
- Support long‑term strategic planning by identifying category, channel and product growth opportunities
- Influence senior stakeholders through commercially focused recommendations and strategic insights
- Champion a data‑driven culture within the commercial function
- Experience in a Commercial Strategy, Revenue Growth, Pricing, Commercial Finance or Insights role
- Background within food manufacturing, FMCG or consumer goods
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial actions
- Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing and Finance teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Highly commercial mindset with a passion for driving profitable growth
