The Role
We’re looking for a Regulatory Governance Executive to support how RICS delivers trusted, effective regulation across the built and natural environments.
In this varied and people focused role, you’ll work closely with the Standards and Regulation Board (SRB) - the independent body that oversees RICS’ regulatory, standards and education functions in the public interest.
You’ll provide high quality governance and administrative support that enables confident decision-making, smooth operations and meaningful regulatory outcomes. No two days are the same: from coordinating meetings and supporting international events, to preparing governance materials and working with senior stakeholders across the globe.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, including exploring how digital tools and AI can enhance governance, efficiency and ways of working.
This is a hybrid role under RICS’ Dynamic Working Policy, with 60% of time based in the office (London or Birmingham). Occasional international travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities- Support the SRB and its sub-groups by preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, tracking actions and ensuring meetings run smoothly
- Maintain governance documentation, records and forward planners with accuracy and care
- Draft clear, professional correspondence, including communication with senior stakeholders and government contacts
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops and events, including the annual SRB meeting
- Organise travel and accommodation for SRB members and international participants; process expenses and invoices
- Support recruitment for SRB roles, including interview coordination, documentation and candidate communication
- Use Microsoft 365 tools confidently to manage workflows and support virtual and in-person meetings
- Support the testing and adoption of new systems and tools, sharing feedback and helping colleagues adapt
- Bring curiosity about emerging digital tools and AI, and how they can improve governance processes
You’re calm, organised and practical, with a genuine enjoyment of supporting others and keeping processes running smoothly. You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders, able to stay focused when things get busy, and proactive about solving problems.
You’re also curious about technology and open to new ways of working — particularly how digital tools can make governance more effective and efficient.
You’ll bring:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and supporting virtual meetings
- Experience coordinating meetings or managing complex logistics
- A proactive, customer focused approach and the ability to work calmly under pressure
- Experience supporting boards, committees or governance forums
- Experience working across time zones or with international stakeholders
Exposure to new systems, tools or process improvements, with an interest in digital tools and AI
