Your Role

We’re looking for a Transfer Agency Oversight Specialist to join our operational oversight team at Wesleyan Unit Trust Managers Ltd and make a real impact. This is your chance gain hands‑on experience in operational oversight within a unique and niche environment.

In this role, you'll ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer outcomes. You’ll manage the relationship between Transfer Agency and SS&C, driving performance, monitoring compliance, and resolving issues with clear “path to green” planning. Your work will directly influence customer experience and regulatory standards.

What you’ll be doing
  • Assisting the WUTM Oversight Manager in the running of the team and managing the team in their absence.
  • Supporting the WUTM Oversight Manager in day‑to‑day management activities including assessment, input and preparation of the data and reports required for appropriate committees and presenting as appropriate.
  • Ensuring there are adequate oversight arrangements to govern and oversee the operational effectiveness of Systems & Controls designed to achieve compliance with the regulators (FCA / PRA / HMRC / ICO).
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant legislation and regulations impacting UCITS and ISA’s, and ensuring any associated operational changes are understood and embedded effectively in operational teams and processes.
  • Periodic assessment of risks and controls via risk management system and review of supplier processes and policies, as well as client‑facing documentation.
  • Day‑to‑day oversight and completion of all oversight activity incl. escalations from WFS, SS&C, WUTM and other impacted business units.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with SS&C, financial advisors (tied) and other impacted business units and third‑party suppliers as appropriate.
  • Analyse feedback, complaints and breach data, including root‑cause analysis and ensuring that countermeasures are successfully identified and escalated appropriately.
We’re looking for
  • Experience in operational and CASS oversight of third‑party transfer agency administration.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Assertive / takes ownership of work / accountability and have an organised and flexible approach to work.
  • Customer focused.
  • Demonstrate and maintains a good level of knowledge of UCITS / unit trusts / emerging regulatory trends, COBS / COLL / SYSC / CASS / PRIN rulebooks.
Desirable
  • Level 3 Certificate in Investment Operations – successful candidates required to complete within 24 months.
