We are supporting a well‑established manufacturing business in the appointment of an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing across domestic and international supply markets.
This role is critical to ensuring continuity of supply, value for money, and technically compliant sourcing of raw materials, goods, and services. You will manage and develop a buying team while remaining hands‑on in supplier negotiations, cost control, and market analysis.

. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, Production, and Commercial teams to ensure suppliers are aligned to business needs and future growth.
You will play a key role in driving cost savings, supplier performance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement
, while ensuring all purchasing activity is compliant with legal and company requirements.
- Lead and deliver strategic sourcing across domestic and international markets
- Manage and develop a buying team, setting clear objectives and driving performance
- Research, analyse, and forecast commodity markets, buying trends, and supply risks
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives, including PPV analysis and forward pricing
- Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
- Own and manage procurement budgets for assigned spend categories
- Develop and manage supplier relationships using SRM principles
- Ensure all sourcing activity meets required quality, compliance, and sustainability standards
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to address capability gaps or future requirements
- Support tendering activity, contract renewals, and key business projects
- Work cross‑functionally to resolve price, quality, delivery, and invoice issues
- Drive continuous improvement with a focus on total cost of ownership and use of technology

- Strong procurement experience, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Proven commercial and negotiation capability
- Experience sourcing from both UK and international markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident user of procurement, stock management, and reporting systems
- Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or similar
- Experience with MPS / MRP planning environments
- Budget ownership and financial forecasting experience
- Commodity management and hedging experience
