Business Development Manager - (Public Sector)Responsible for driving utilisation and dependence upon KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions as the go-to place for all Microsoft viding trusted advisor expertise with member firms around their strategic approach to fulfilling their client's business and technology needs. Creates and progresses opportunities for MBS in the International market by leveraging a hybrid skillset of business development, presales, technical excellence and delivery. Advocates innovation both within the firm and with clients and takes a role in developing team members to their full potential as well as promoting collaboration across teams.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Main Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for lead generation.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve firm's goals and revenue targets.
- Support senior stakeholders in day-to-day activities and mentor juniors by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to drive business development.
- Assist on demand generation strategies for a Microsoft solution sales team and execution.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all sales activities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development or sales.
- Sales experience in the Public sector - Public transport, utilities, federal regional departments, and public services, hospitals, health systems, and related organisations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technology (particularly Dynamics 365, Office 365 and Azure).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
