As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our workshop team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure customers receive outstanding service by managing their enquiries, booking their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs, and keeping them informed throughout the service process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer care, and a good understanding of automotive services.
Key Responsibilities- Welcoming customers and accurately recording their vehicle service and repair requirements.
- Providing clear, professional advice on vehicle services, repairs, and maintenance options.
- Scheduling appointments and managing the workshop diary efficiently to optimise workflow.
- Liaising with technicians to understand the status and requirements of each vehicle.
- Communicating with customers regarding vehicle progress, additional work required, and estimated completion times.
- Preparing and presenting service and repair estimates, ensuring transparency and customer approval.
- Processing invoices and payments accurately, maintaining records in line with company policies.
- Handling customer queries and resolving any issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Promoting additional services and products to enhance customer experience and business growth.
- Maintaining a tidy and organised front-of-house area to create a welcoming environment.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Basic technical knowledge of vehicles and automotive terminology.
- Competent IT skills, including experience with workshop management systems or CRM software.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver excellent customer service consistently.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred.
