Position: PRODUCTION ADMINISTRATOR

Production Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a really exciting new role for one of our prestigious clients based in Central Birmingham. This role will be a customer focused administration role. You will be based on the factory shop floor reporting directly into the production manager. You will be an integral part of the team liaison between the client and internal managers. Your role will be to report on the progression of orders for the clients.

Your main purpose of the role is to monitor and drive forward the progression of jobs to deliver a timely and effective service. This will be a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

General Duties
  • Speaking to clients and customers about the status of their orders via phone or email.
  • Produce and maintain monthly KPI reports to track performance, progress, and key metrics.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure all jobs are progressing according to plan.
  • Report to the production manager with any issues or possible delays and offer resolutions.
  • Liaise with line managers daily to see current status with orders and update clients.
  • Update information in the in‑house system.
  • Chase any outstanding parts.
  • Update schedules on the systems.
  • Monitor and drive all of the jobs forward.
  • Ensure every order is delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve or offer solutions if required.
  • Achieve the in‑house targets & KPI’s that are set daily and weekly.
Skills And Experience Needed
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar environment or role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills when speaking to prestigious clients.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong articulation skills under pressure.
  • Ability to think on your feet and offer the customer cost saving solutions.
  • Hours of work:
    Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:45 pm;
    Friday 8:00 am – 1:30 pm – 38 hours a week.
  • Availability to start immediately.
